Hip Openers and Forward Folds

Now we are really getting into the deep and juicy stretches!! These poses are especially intended for your cool down/ yin section of your home practice, after you are all warmed up and ready to go deeper both physically and mentally. There is a lot of overlap between hip openers and forward folds, since most hip openers are also forward folding! When we are physically turning inwards in forward folds, we naturally soothe the nervous system and give ourselves the opportunity for self-reflection and self-love. It’s important to listen to your body and approach these deep stretches with compassion, taking it slow and progressively.
